Introduction To InspirePay
InspirePay is an online payment aggregator that integrates major payment methods into a FREE, brandable, payment page. InspirePay is all about making it really easy for people to pay you online. And we think that is pretty Inspired.
InspirePay was built for:

We’ve also seen people raising money for more relaxed reasons such as “code and coffee Wednesdays,” “Friday beer money,” etc. Because the payment page setup is so simple, and the system allows you to offer multiple options for people to pay, InspirePay is ideal for anyone raising money from their people.

How to Set Up Your InspirePay Page
First Steps:
1) Visit InspirePay: https://inspirepay.com/
2) Click on Sign Up.
3) Enter your email address.
4) Check your email. We’ll send you a link immediately so that you can activate your account.
5) Click the link in the email, and you’ll be taken to your account setup page.
4) Choose your Account Name. This can be your name, your business name, or anything you’d like.
5) Choose a strong password that you’ll be able to remember.
Customizing your InspirePay Page
1) Choose an image to upload. Your InspirePay page will represent you or your business, so choose a photo that is right for you. Obviously, we’ll delete anything violent, nude or defamatory.
2) Fill in your Account Name, Address, and Page Links. For your address, you can be as detailed or vague as you like. Don’t want people to know where you are? Just fill in your Country. Want them to send you snail mail? Enter your street address too. For Page Links, you can enter as many website URLs as you’d like. This gives your sites a little bit of link love and lets your people see your online presence.
Setting up Payment Options
Currently, there are two ways to accept credit card payments through InspirePay:
1) Stripe is a service that lets you start accepting credit card payments immediately, without the specialized accounts necessary to do this on your own. Their rates are really reasonable, and the service is fully integrated into InspirePay. It will take you a total of maybe 5 minutes to be up and running.
2) Your existing merchant account via Sage Gateway, Authorize.net Gateway, or Inspire Commerce. If you have a merchant account and you’ve been accepting credit cards online (not at a physical store with a swiper), chances are you’re already connected to one of these gateways. If not, visit Inspire Commerce for more information on merchant accounts.
General FAQs
Requesting Payments
1) Login to your InspirePay Account
2) At the top of your InspirePay page, click on Request a Payment:
3) Several social media options pop up – Facebook, Twitter, and Email:
4) Choose your desired method to request the payment. If you choose Facebook, or Twitter, you will be asked to login to your account to send the unique URL. If you choose email, a pop-up box will display in the middle of your page which looks like this:
Simply type in the email address of the person whom you would like to send the request, as well as your email address, and a note if you’d like.
Another box will display asking you to verify that you’re human. Type in the information and your email is sent!

Do you currently accept credit cards for your business through a traditional merchant account? Perfect. That will take you a little longer to set up, but you’ll be getting the benefits you already enjoy, like lower transaction fees and personalized customer service.

Payment Gateways
Setting up Payment Options For Existing Merchant Accounts
If you have an Existing Merchant Account:
1) Click on the credit card icons
2) Choose the gateway associated with your merchant account:
Sage Gateway
Inspire Commerce
Authorize.net
3) Follow the instructions associated with each terminal option, and you’re connected!

Setting up Inspire Commerce
1) Click on the credit card icons
2) Choose Inspire Commerce
3) Insert your API username and Password information into the fields below ‘Setup’

Setting up Authorize.net
1) Click on the credit card icons
2) Choose Authorize.net
3) Insert your API Login ID and Transaction Key information into the fields below ‘Setup’
To obtain the API Login ID and Transaction Key information, login to your Authorize.net account > click on ‘Account’ > Click on API Login ID and Transaction Key to generate this information.

Setting up Sage Gateway
1) Click on the credit card icons
2) Choose Sage Gateway
3) Insert your Merchant ID Number and Merchant Key information into the fields below ‘Setup’

Setting up Stripe
1) Click on the credit card icons
2) Choose Stripe Gateway
3) Insert your Live Secret Key into the field below ‘Setup’
To obtain the Live Secret Key information, login to your Stripe account > click on ‘Your Account’ > Click on ‘Account Settings’ > Click on ‘API Keys’ to generate this information.

Setting up PayPal
1) Click on the PayPal Logo
2) Insert your email address that is connected to your PayPal Account

Setting up Dwolla
1) Scroll down halfway down the page until you see:
2) Insert your account number into the Setup field. Your Dwolla account number is 10 digits – XXX-XXX-XXXX

Pay By Link (And Pay Buttons For Your Website)
As an example, let’s use Mark’s: https://inspirepay.com/pay/mark
Turning this into a payment link or a button is as simple as using your own content management system (Blog / Etc. ) and pasting in the link OR writing some simple HTML code.
Simple Payment Link With Unspecified Amount
The HTML for this is very simple:

Just change the bold link above to reflect the URL for your payment page.
Simple Payment Link With Specified Amount
The HTML for this is very simple:
<a href="https://inspirepay.com/pay/mark/$50">Pay Me $50</a>
Just change the bold link above to reflect the URL for your payment page. Add the dollar amount to the end and you’re done.
Making a Payment Button Link
Buttons are super easy. Technically, the part of the link that reads, “Pay Me $50″ is known as the “anchor text.” To turn the link into a button, all you need to do is swop out the anchor text with an image. Assuming we are still specifying an amount, here is an example link for $20.00.
The code for this very straight forward:

The bold section is your URL like above, this one for $20. The italics section is the link to the image you are using for your button. Feel free to use our example above for your website.

To make it work for your own page, all you need to do is change the URL above (in bold) to whatever your account URL is. (ie, if you put the entire link into a browser you should see your own payment page and if you are on your own payment page, just copy it and replace the bold text above).
